Do I need an appointment?
No. All three clinics take walk-ins, and the Jl. Raya Canggu clinic has a doctor on site 24 hours a day. If you would rather have a slot held, message us on WhatsApp and we will book you in. You will typically get replied in under five minutes.
Are your doctors English-speaking?
Yes. Every doctor, dentist and front-desk team member speaks fluent English, and we treat guests from Australia, Europe, the US and Asia every day. Nothing is explained to you in a language you do not understand.
What does a consultation cost?
A GP consultation in the clinic is IDR 250,000 on our international charge. A doctor coming to your villa starts at IDR 600,000 plus a transport fee depending on distance. Every price on this page is what you pay. No consultation surcharge, no surprise line items.
Can a doctor come to my villa?
Yes. Home care covers Canggu, Berawa, Pererenan, Seminyak and the surrounding areas, and includes consultations, IV therapy, injections, wound care and swabs. It is the right option when you are too unwell to travel or you are looking after someone who is.
Can I claim this on my travel insurance?
Yes. We issue a fully itemised invoice and a treatment report in English, with procedure descriptions your insurer will recognise. We also work with a number of international assistance and insurance partners. Tell us who you are with when you arrive and we will advise on direct billing.
Which of the three clinics should I go to?
Canggu for almost anything. It's our busiest branch, open 24/7 for all medical services, and it's also home to our dedicated dental clinic. Head to Jl. Raya Canggu No. 17R for anything medical, urgent or after hours. It is the main clinic, it has the pharmacy, and it never closes. Jalan Nelayan, just around the corner, is Asta Medical Canggu, our 24/7 medical clinic with a dedicated dental clinic. Seminyak if you are staying that side. If you are unsure, message us and we will point you to the nearest one.
Do you handle rabies and animal bites?
Yes. Asta is a rabies centre and handles post-exposure treatment. If you have been bitten or scratched by a monkey, dog or cat, wash the wound and come in or message us straight away. Timing matters with rabies!
Is the clinic properly licensed?
Asta Medical Center is a fully accredited private clinic operated by PT Asta Medika Internasional, certified and verified by the Indonesian health authority under Standard Certificate 12280007223720003. All doctors, dentists and nurses hold current STR and SIP registration.
